No-Knead Homemade Baguettes
Ingredients
2½ cups plain flour
2 teaspoons instant yeast
2 teaspoons salt
1½ cups lukewarm water
Method
In a large bowl, mix the flour, yeast, and salt together.
Pour in the lukewarm water and stir until a sticky dough forms. Do not knead.
Cover the bowl with plastic wrap or a clean towel and leave to rest at room temperature for at least 4 hours (or up to overnight).
Preheat the oven to 180°C (fan 180°C).
Generously flour a work surface and tip out the dough.
Using a floured knife or scraper, cut the dough into long strips and gently shape into baguettes.
Place on a lined baking tray and lightly dust with flour.
Bake for 25 minutes, or until golden and crisp.
Cool slightly before slicing and serving.
