My March Wellness Bucket List

(Mum Edition)

March always feels like a quiet turning point. The days start getting a little longer, the air feels fresher, and everything gently reminds us that a new season is coming. After the heaviness of winter routines, I like to use March as a reset - not in a big overwhelming way, but in small, soft ways that help me feel more present as a mum and as a person.
This year, I wanted my focus to be simple: slower mornings, calmer evenings, and more moments that care for my mind, body, and soul. Motherhood can be busy and noisy, but I’ve learned that even tiny rituals can make a big difference in how a day feels.
So instead of a long list of goals, I created a small March wellness bucket list - gentle things that bring a little more calm, joy, and intention into everyday life.
My March Bucket List
• No phone for the first hour of the morning
• No phone for the last hour before bed
• Open the windows and let the fresh spring air in
• Make a cozy morning drink before the house gets busy
• Take a slow walk with the kids and notice the little things
• Spend time on a hobby I love (reading, baking, crafting)
• Sit in the sunlight for a few quiet minutes
• Bake something sweet with the kids
• Read a few pages of a book before bed
• Declutter or refresh a small space at home
• Play music and make the house feel calm and cozy
• Plan a simple family moment (movie night, park walk, baking)
• Go to bed a little earlier when I can
• Remind myself that a calm mum creates a calm home
Why Small Rituals Matter
As mums, it’s easy to feel like our days are just a long list of things we have to do. But when we intentionally add small moments that nourish us - even if it’s just sitting in the sunlight for five minutes or reading a few pages of a book - our whole mindset can shift.
These aren’t big lifestyle changes. They’re tiny pockets of calm inside ordinary days.
Opening the windows while making breakfast.Taking a slow walk with the kids.Lighting a candle and reading before bed instead of scrolling.
These little habits help create a home that feels softer and more peaceful.
A Gentle Reminder for This Month
I’m not expecting to check every single thing off this list. Some days will still feel chaotic, and that’s okay. This list is simply a guide back to calm when life starts to feel too rushed.
March doesn’t have to be about becoming a “better” version of ourselves. Sometimes it’s simply about returning to the simple things that make life feel good.
So this month I’m choosing slower mornings, softer evenings, and more presence with the people I love most.
And maybe opening the windows a little more often.
