Wine, stitching & real connection at a Mum Club evening 🤍

I had the nicest evening recently with The Mum Club Edinburgh, attending one of their Sip & Stitch events, and honestly, it was exactly what I didn’t realise I needed.

We met in a cosy, intimate dining space inside Bonnie & Wild at St James Quarter. Such a great spot - relaxed, welcoming, and perfect for switching off for a few hours. There was wine, charcuterie-style nibbles, lots of chatting, and that lovely buzzy feeling you get when you’re around people who are just… on the same wavelength.

The creative part of the evening was led by Bella & Beads, who showed us how to embroider our kids’ names onto cardigans. It was so simple but really special - making something personal for your child while chatting away with other mums felt surprisingly calming (and very satisfying). No pressure to be “good” at it either, which I loved.

If you haven’t heard of it before, The Mum Club Edit hosts events for mums that genuinely focus on connection. They run loads of different meet-ups, many of which you can bring your little ones (under 5) along to - things like brunch clubs, fitness sessions, and walks. It’s all very relaxed and inclusive, whatever stage of motherhood you’re in.

What I loved most about the evening was the mix of mums - all at different stages, all with different stories, but so much shared understanding. It was just really nice to spend an evening feeling like me, not just “mum”, in such good company.

If you’re a mum in Edinburgh or the surrounding areas and you’re craving support, connection, or simply a reminder that you’re not on your own, I’d really encourage you to come along to one of their events. Motherhood can feel isolating - but nights like this prove it doesn’t have to be.

I came home feeling recharged, supported, and so grateful that spaces like this exist in Edinburgh.

Keep an eye on what The Mum Club Edinburgh has coming up - it might be the night you didn’t know you needed 🌷
